Top 5 Wednesday: Children's Books

Top 5 Wednesday from Goodreads

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme brought by T5W on Goodreads.

Happy Wednesday everybody! For this, our second July Wednesday, we're talking about children's books! The prompt asked us to please try to stay away from Harry Potter, so just pretend that this list is really 6 long, and definitely includes at least Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire.

And by this, I mean the entire series, plus the Megan Follows film adaptations.

Judy Blume books were the best gift a girl could have asked for. Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret was the first one of hers I remember reading, so that's why it's here, but I could have included them all here.

Ramona Quimby!! I remember writing my name and trying to drawn the spirally little seashell thing around my name like how Ramona does. This is like 6th in the Ramona series, but my favorite by far. I also super-loved her first-love novel Fifteen, but that one's definitely more YA.

It was kind of hard to decide which Roald Dahl to pick, but I ultimately decided on Matilda because I was so in love with the little girl who loved to read all the books (I loved a lot of those kind of books, if you couldn't tell). (Roald-Dahl-Runner-Up is The Witches for sure.)

A Little Princess may have been my all-time favorite book. I have this exact copy, but the pages are all old and tattered and the cover's been taped back on more than once. I also really loved The Secret Garden, but it just couldn't compare to the magic that Sara Crewe experiences the first time she wakes up in that attic and it's been transformed overnight into the home of her dreams.

Thanks for stopping by for another Top 5 Wednesday! Were any of these children's and middle grade books your favorites? Let me know below!
