Where did the last week go?? I feel like I went to work and tried to sleep and THAT WAS IT. How has your week been going?
1. Second Chance Romances!
As usual, I'm starting off with the books I've read. Maybe I'll switch this up sometime and make you wait until the end to find out all the books I haven't been reading.
Honestly, it's been hard to want to read much after the perfection that was The Cruel Prince, but I sort of knew I was getting into that.
But I did read one!
I was excited to pick this one up because I've heard sooo much great stuff about Alisha Rai, and I'm a huge sucker for a second-chance romance and was looking forward to a heroine who was a tattoo artist and half-Japanese half-Hawaiian. And this one was pretty good!
2. Old Favorites!
I've also been doing a reread of The Deal because, you know, it's been a while since I read that series.
Just kidding. It's been like 3 months or something.
3. Sweet Jams!
Sometimes I have a hard time finding new music. It hasn't always been this way, but has definitely gotten worse in the past few years. For one, I guess I'm old as hell or something, and I think this is something that just happens? For two and three, I don't have much of a commute to work or much time to just sit at my desk listening to tunes (but everyone else does? How?). For four, I'm old and, when I have the time, I usually go to my old standbys.
BUT. I've had a few afternoons to myself over the past week when I could sit and listen to an album while working, and my friend JP sent me some recs. I've been loving Charli XCX Pop 2 and Kacey Musgraves Pageant Material. Totally different genres, but both have really hit the spot.
Yay! Maybe I'm not as old as I thought?
