Top 5 Wednesday Rewind: Authors I've Discovered This Year

This weekly book meme is brought by Top 5 Wednesday on Goodreads.
Is it already Wednesday? I have a hard time keeping up lately. But it must be because I'm back with this week's Top 5 Wednesday Rewind. This May, all those who participate in Top 5 Wednesday are invited to go back into the vaults of T5W and revisit an old topic--whether it's just to finally get the chance to do it, or to redo an old one.
I've been trying to do some deep dives, and this week's topic comes to us from October 2015. Was that a good year? I don't entirely remember.
Anyhow, this week I'm talking about the top five authors I've discovered this year. Since we're not even half-way through 2018, you're going to find some authors I first read in the latter half of 2017. Have you newly discovered any of these same authors?

Happy book birthday to Claire Legrand this week! I got an ARC of Furyborn in December 2017, and I spent so much of that holiday break with my face stuffed in that book (luckily I have an extended family that gets reading time). I loved it so much, I've been hyping it ever since and recently ran a preorder giveaway on Twitter.

Emma Mills is also another author I first encountered in December 2017, where I blasted through First & Then and Foolish Hearts back to back (and then got home and realized a gorgeous copy of Foolish Hearts was in that month's Owlcrate).

Rust & Stardust was my first T. Greenwood novel and is based on the real-life kidnapping of Sally Horner, whose story inspired Nabokov's Lolita, and this gorgeous and gut-wrenching novel absolutely blew me away. This novel comes out in August, and I will definitely be looking to more from T.Greenwood.

I discovered C.V. Wyk earlier this year, back in February or so. I was intrigued by the synopsis of this story, but did not really expect much. This was such a wonderful surprise, and I cannot wait for its sequel.

I had to have at least one historical romance author on this book, and I just realized that I only finally read Sarah MacLean this year! I loved 9 Rules to Break When Romancing A Rake, and was even more in love with Wicked & The Wallflower, coming out in June. I love how she turns the genre on its head. She is so much fun to read.
What about you?? What are some of the best authors you've read this year (whether the full 12 months, or just so far in 2018)? Are any of these authors your long-time faves? Let me know!
