Head Over Heels is quite possibly the fluffiest book I've read all year. It's so fluffy, in fact, that I'm not sure I ever understood what fluffy meant until I read this book. I mean, there is some angst to it that could be intense, but this novel is really just about getting Chase and Liv together and everything else that could cause trouble just...doesn't. Like, the mother of Chase's kid has died but...it doesn't really matter? And Liv has some trauma in her past where she bounced around from home to home but...it also doesn't really matter? Not that the issues are swept under the rug but...they just don't matter. This book is just about Chase and Liv finally ending up together.
And, boy, do they. The first part of this book was a little hum-drum (that's a phrase, right?) but, once Chase and Liv started getting together (don't worry, it doesn't take that long), everything was fine. SO. MUCH. FLUFF.
Did I love it? Of course I did. This book is about Liv taking Chase's adorable kid shopping at Target for cute housewares. It's also about Chase and Liv getting it on everywhere. It's about Liv wanting to do her hair but also learning how to be absolutely filthy on a camping trip. It's also about Chase's adorable kid coming up with absolutely adorable games and catch phrases (I don't want to spoil them for you here).
Should you read it? Looking for nothing but pure fluff? Look no further! In fact, I talked myself up from three-and-a-half to four stars just writing this review.
